In this assignment, you are required to analyze & evaluate this system and
write a report. The report should consist
of three sections:
(a) The technique: you have to describe (in your own words)
how this system works. Be brief, precise and mathematical. Explain the
features used and the similarity measure employed. State all
assumptions and limitations of the technique. You may wish to
consult this
site for more technical
information.
(b) Performance Evaluation: do appropriate testing of the
system to evaluate the system. Consider it is a challenge to
evaluate the software before buying it. Please label the system as
excellent, neutral or useless. Please
justify the label chosen with either results or arguments.
(c) Suggested improvements: which novel, useful features and
capabilities would you incorporate into the system in order for it
to become maximally useful for the purpose of music retrieval by an absolute
lay-person who loves listening to music but does not know CS4241.
The report should not be more than 10 equivalent A-4 size pages long.
