The Information Systems Research Center (ISRC) provides the latest computing facilities and acts as afocal point for faculty members and graduate students conducting research in the Management Information Systems (MIS) arena. The various important issues in the MIS field rigorously pursued include collaborative work, economics of information technology, electronic commerce, globalization strategies, group decision and negotiation support systems, IT & education, telecommunications, and yield management.
Facilities include PC workstations,
networked laser printers and audio-visual equipment such as videocams for conducting experiments. While much of the research
deals with the socio-technical and organizational
impacts of MIS, some projects require the design and implementation of
information systems, e.g. negotiation support and
group support systems during the course of research.
