Li Yan is a Teaching Assistant and doctoral candidate in Department of Information Systems, School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS). She received her Bachelor degree (1999) from Nanjing University (China) and MSc.(2002) from NUS. Her research interests include information technology (IT) innovation adoption, open source software study, human capital/resource management, information systems (IS) leadership, organizational behavioral study (both micro and macro) in IS.

Her research work has been published in top-tier journals like IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and presented at top-tier information systems conferences, such as International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), and Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS), ACM SIGCPR International Conference on Computer Personnel Research (SIGCPR), Academy of Management Annual Meeting (AOM),  and World Congress on Intellectual Capital (WCIC).

She is a member of Association for Information Systems and Academy of Management.
