During operating hours, if you have any enquiries or comment/feedback, or to report any urgent system problems related to hardware or software, please:

  • approach Technical Services staff at the above location or call the hotline;
  • send an email to techsvc or
  • approach other computer-facility support staff at here.

For immediate help after operating hours, please call Technical Services Hotline. This call will be forwarded to the Duty Officer-in-charge of the day.

This phone will only be setup for users to call in during an emergency, that is when the network is down.

SmartCard Lockouts

If you are trapped in a room due to the failure of the smart card access:

  • First, try calling out for help;
  • Next, try to contact someone via e-mail or talk or broadcast(eg.wall) or send a message to any support staff.

If you are still trapped after 10 minutes, you can break the emergency exit glass and push the button in order to get out.
