Application
All applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online for our graduate coursework programme.

If you wish to be considered for more than one department, you must submit a separate application. There is no limit to the number of applications you can submit. However, each application must be accompanied by separate fee payment and supporting documents.
For the School of Computing’s Master of Computing programme, please note that only the Computer Science, Infocomm Security and Information Technology Project Management (ITPM) specialisations will be offered for admission.” |
Password (for online application only)
When submitting your application online, you will be asked to enter a 6-character Password. Your Password is important and can be used, together with your application number, to access the following online facilities related to your application:

*Note: If you have posted your supporting documents and payment (by bankdraft), please allow 4 weeks for postal delivery before checking your admission and payment status.
Application Fee
The following non-refundable application fee is payable for each MOE subsidised programme you apply for:

Please send your proof of payment together with your application package. Please note that an application without the application fee payment will not be processed.

b. Complete the relevant Application Fee Form and make payment by NETS at the Student Service Centre (located at Level 1, Yusof Ishak House) during 8.30am – 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. |

Complete the relevant Application Fee Form and send it together with a bank draft (drawn on a bank in Singapore in either Singapore dollars or US dollars equivalent) made payable to “National University of Singapore”. Please write your name, mailing address and programme applied for at the reverse side of the bank draft. |
Deadlines
The deadlines for submission of application forms are as follows.

Submission Checklist
The completed Master of Computing Application Form should be submitted to the school together with copies of each of the supporting documents listed below. A recent coloured passport-sized photograph must be pasted on the application form. If possible, zoom/reduce them to A4 sizes. Any documents not in English must be accompanied by certified true copies of the English translation of the documents. Any omission of information and documents requested may render the application form void.
Application Fee Form along with a S$20/- (for online application) cheque/bankdraft made payable to "National University of Singapore”. Please write your name and telephone numbers (home & office) on the reverse side of the cheque /bank draft.
Personal statement, if any.
Certified true copy of degree certificates - Bachelor's/Master's (with English Translation).
Certified true copy of transcript- Bachelor's/Master's (with English Translation).
Applicants should submit an official transcript of academic records from each university attended. They are responsible for requesting their transcripts from the university concerned. Please use the Transcript Request Form for this purpose. If more than one copy of the Transcript Request Form is required, please photocopy additional copies.
For foreign graduates, the official transcript must be enclosed in a SEALED envelope with its flap bearing the security seal of the University and the signature of the Registrar or his representative.
Copies of GRE (General) / GMAT (for application to ITPM) / TOEFL or IELTS and Computer Science (CS) Subject GRE score sheets (if applicable).
Please request an ORIGINAL copy of your GRE /GMAT /TOEFL or IELTS score sheets to be sent to us DIRECT from the examining body. It should reach the School by the prescribed closing date. Our Institution code for GRE is 0677, Dept Code 0402/0404, GMAT code is DRT-16-68 and TOEFL is 9088.
Letters of recommendation, if any.
Certified true copies of supporting documents (Professional certificates, awards, prizes, etc).
GCE ‘A' Level certificate or its equivalent e.g., (e.g., diplomas certificates and transcripts, high school certificate, etc).
A copy of Bank statement and recent payslip or original sponsor's letter.
The sponsor will have to produce a copy of his/her bank statement. Bank statements should show that candidate will have sufficient financial support on the tuition fees for at least one academic year.
A copy of Citizenship certificate, Identity Card, Passport, Employment Pass and documentary proof of permanent resident status.
You will be asked to produce the originals for verification during enrolment (if your application is successful).

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Completed application form must be submitted with the supporting documents and an application fee of S$20.00 (for online application only). Incomplete applications (e.g. those with insufficient documents or have not satisfactorily completed their requirements for the bachelor's degree by the stipulated deadline of submission) and applications received after the closing date, will automatically be considered for the next intake.
If the required documents are not received by the closing date of the next intake, the application will be rejected on grounds of insufficient information. Applicants must re-submit a new application with the supporting documents should they be interested to apply for the Master of Computing programme again.
Status of Application
Results of your application will be made known to you through postal mail about 1.5 - 2 months after the application deadline. If you do not hear from us two months after the deadline, please email mcomp-info@comp.nus.edu.sg.
If you are successful in your application, you will receive an offer package from us, with the following documents:
1) Offer Letter
The letter will indicate the deadline for submitting the Reply on Offer of Admission Form, enrolment date, *single-journey visa cum in-principle student pass approval matter (*for full-time International students) and other information relevant to you.

Your admittance to the programme is conditional upon the approval of your student pass. SoC, Graduate Division will apply a single-journey visa cum in-principle student pass approval (IPA) for you via the Student Pass On-Line Application & Registration (SOLAR) system administered by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
2) Reply on Offer of Admission Form
If you accept the offer, please complete and sign the form. Paste your recent coloured (preferred) passport-size photograph, which will be used for your Postgraduate Registration card.
Note: The registration fee of S$52.50 will be included in the first semester's tuition fee bill.
Please return the duly signed and completed forms to the Graduate Division (Attn: Ms Cindy Loh) by the stipulated deadline indicated in the Offer Letter.
3) Acceptance Records, Undertakings and Authorizations Booklet
The following forms (if relevant) have to be completed, detached from the booklet and submitted to Graduate Studies, School of Computing, Dean's Office during enrolment:
Form 1: Acceptance Record (Compulsory for all students)
Form 2: Release of Liability (for students under 21 years of age only)
Form 3: Authorization for Medical Procedures (compulsory for all international students)
Form 4: Appointment of Local Guardian (only for international students with local a guardian)
4) Other Information
Medical Examination
With effect from 1 March 2000, all international students who have applied and obtained the in-principal approval student (IPA) letters have to undergo and pass a medical examination conducted by a qualified medical practitioner in Singapore or in their home country before the Immigration Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will issue them with the actual pass.
The medical examination includes a general physical exam, a chest X-ray and HIV Test. Foreigners who are found to have active Tuberculosis or HIV positive will not be granted the pass. As such, foreigners who cannot pass the medical exam will have to return to their countries at their own expenses.
Deferment
If you wish to defer the commencement of your course, please indicate on the Reply on Offer of Admission by putting a tick in the box under "For deferment only". You are required to state the reason(s) for the deferment. You will only be granted one semester for deferment of admission. You are required to confirm again by email that you want to resume your studies when SOC, Graduate Division email to you sometime around April/May or October/November for July and January intake respectively.
Pending Status
All applications will be under this category if documents submitted are incomplete. They will be considered with other applicants for the next intake. Those who do not submit the required documents by the deadline for the next intake, will have to submit a new application form and the application fee along with the relevant documents should they be interested in the programme again.
Rejection
All rejected applicants will be notified by post mail, 1.5 – 2 months after the application deadline. They will need to submit a new application together with all the relevant documents and transcripts again should they be interested in applying for the next intake. |
