Programme Briefing

There will be a programme briefing on 31 January 2015, from 1.45 pm to 4.30 pm at NTUC Centre, One Marina Boulevard. If you have any queries regarding the programme, please contact us.

Application

All applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online for our graduate coursework programme.
The new online application system is opened.

*Important Note:

For the School of Computing’s Master of Computing programme, please note that only the Computer Science, Infocomm Security and Information Systems specialisations will be offered for admission.”


Password (for online application only)

When submitting your application online, you will be asked to enter a 6-character password. Your password is important and can be used, together with your application number, to access the following online facilities related to your application:

Application Fee

A S$20 non-refundable application fee (per online application & inclusive of prevailing GST) is payable for each MOE subsidised programme that you apply.

Please send your proof of payment together with your application package.  Please note that an application without the application fee payment will not be processed.


Deadlines

The deadlines for submission of application forms are as follows:

Applications received after the respective application deadline will be considered for the next Intake.

* Applicants will be notified of the outcome by postal mail by mid-end May (August intake) or mid-end November (January intake). The application outcome will also be available via the online Graduate Admission System


Submission Checklist

When submitting your application via the online Graduate Admission System, you are also required to upload ALL the supporting documents via the online Graduate Admission System before sending the hardcopies to the school. The documents to be uploaded to the online system should be in pdf format [Refer to (1)].

If you have difficulty uploading any of your supporting documents at the Graduate Admission System (GDA2), you may send the documents (in PDF format) via email to us.

After submitting your application via the online Graduate Admission System, the completed online application form should be printed out and submitted to the School together with the supporting documents listed below [(Refer to (2)].

All documents to be submitted should preferably be in A4 size. All documents that are not in English must be accompanied by certified true copies of the English translation documents. Omission of required information and documents may render the application void.

Note:
Please pay your application fee (S$20.00) online (Graduate Admission System--->Declaration--->e-payment. Please print out a copy of the payment receipt and attach in your application as proof of payment. Alternatively,you can also make payment incheque or bank draft (made payable to "National University of Singapore") and attach the application fee form.
You should write your name, application number, identity/passport number and telephone numbers (home & office) on the reverse side of the cheque/bank draft.

 
 

A recent coloured passport-sized photograph must be pasted on the completed hardcopy application form.

 
 

Personal statement, if any.

 

A copy of citizenship certificate, identity card, passport, Employment Pass (EP) or documentary proof of permanent residence status.

Note:
EP must be submitted by international students who wish to apply for part-time course.

 

Certified true copy of degree certificates - Bachelor's/Master's (with English Translation).

 

Certified true copy of transcripts - Bachelor's/Master's (with English Translation).

Note:
Applicants should submit official transcript of academic records from each university attended. Please use the Transcript Request Form for this purpose where necessary.
For foreign graduates, the official transcript must be enclosed in a SEALED envelope with its flap bearing the security seal of the University and the signature of the Registrar or his representative.

GRE (General) or GMAT.
TOEFL or IELTS.

Note:
Our institution code for GRE is 0677, Dept Code 0402/0404, GMAT code is DRT-16-68 and TOEFL is 9088. A copy of the scores should be attached in the application for reference.

[Please indicate to the test centre that the scores are to be sent directly to us from the examining body. It should reach the School by the prescribed closing date]

All applicants are required to submit at least one recommendation/referee letter along with your application.

Note:
Refereesí recommendations are to be submitted via the online admission system. Applicants are to include the refereesí email addresses in their online application, so that, the system will send an email to your referees automatically, hence, it is not necessary to submit hardcopies of the recommendation letters.

[If the referee has already provided an earlier letter, the applicant may submit the hardcopy letter which has been duly signed by the referee & placed in a sealed envelope whereby the openings bear their signatures].

A copy of Bank statement and recent payslip or original sponsor's letter.

Note
:
The sponsor will have to produce a copy of his/her bank statement. Bank statements should show that candidate will have sufficient financial support on the tuition fees for at least one academic year.
As a guide, international students would require an estimated S$18,000 per year for living expenses.

 
 

Candidates are required to produce the originals of the earlier submitted certified true copies of documents for the Schoolís verification during enrolment (if your application is successful).

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Completed application form must be submitted with the supporting documents and an application fee of S$20/- (for online application).  Applications deemed incomplete by the School (e.g. those with insufficient documents, transcripts that do not contain all semesters’ examinations results or have not satisfactorily completed their requirements for the bachelor's degree by the stipulated deadline of submission) will not be processed. Applicants are required to submit a new application with full set of supporting documents should they be interested to apply for the Master of Computing programme again.



Status of Application

Applicants may check their application status in the Graduate Admission (GDA) System after the application deadline.

Upon receiving both the online and hardcopy application, and verifying that the application package is complete, the status of the application will be updated to “physical application verified” two weeks from the application deadline. Application outcome will be made known two months from the application deadline via the GDA System. An offer package will also be sent to the successful candidate at the same time. Applicants who did not receive their outcome status can contact us at mcomp-info@comp.nus.edu.sg.

Unsuccessful applicants who wish to be considered for admission for the following intake, are required to submit a new set of application together with all their relevant supporting documents.
