Why Give to SoC?

As Asia’s leading computing school, NUS School of Computing (SoC) is recognised for its world-class education and cutting edge research. Its international curriculum equips students with the right balance of scholarly excellence, professionalism, and soft skills needed in today’s workplace. Many of the school’s graduates are empowered with the capabilities to become leaders in their respective fields, revolutionising the way the world functions.

Since its evolution from the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, SoC has transformed into a haven of research and development in Computing.

Your contribution will help SoC continue its legacy in producing a trail of distinguished alumni who are at the forefront of technological advancements.

We invite your support toward the following two causes:

Computing Alumni Assistance Award Join the efforts of the Computing alumni by making a gift to this Award, initiated by the Computing Alumni Association (CAA), to support supplementary educational expenses on computing project initiatives for needy SoC students.
Computing Student Development Fund Make a gift to enable more Computing undergraduate and graduate students to obtain professional qualifications and gain international exposure through overseas study trips and participation in academic conferences.

2.5 Times Tax Exemption and Dollar-for-Dollar Grant Matching

Donations made by Singapore tax residents to the Fund or the assistance scheme will be eligible for 2.5 times tax exemption (details here).

In addition, the government will match dollar for dollar each donation made by the private sector (details here). So each dollar that you donate will generate twice its worth toward the cause of nurturing Computing talent in Singapore.

Credit Card

To make a direct donation to the Computing Student Development Fund, you could do so online with your credit cards here. Please remember to select “Computing Student Development Fund” as the item you wish to support.

To make a direct donation to the Computing Alumni Assistance Award, you could do so online with your credit cards here. Please remember to select “Computing Alumni Assistance Award” as the item you wish to support.

Cheque

To make a gift by cheque, please download and print a gift form and mail it in with your cheque. Donations by crossed cheques should be issued to “National University of Singapore”. Please remember to specify “Computing Student Development Fund” or “Computing Alumni Assistance Award” on the back of the cheque, and mail it to:
