| Dr. Rudy Setiono
is Associate Professor in the School of Computing at the National
University of Singapore. He received a B.S. degree in Computer Science
(1984) from Eastern Michigan University, and M.S. (1986) and Ph.D.
degrees (1990) in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Since August 1990, he has been with the National University of Singapore.
Dr. Setiono's research interests
include unconstrained optimization, neural network construction
and pruning, and rule extraction from neural networks and its applications.
He has published in reputable international
journals such as SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, European
Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Optimization Theory
and Applications, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions
on Data and Knowledge Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Systems,
Man, and Cybernetics, Neural Computation, Neurocomputing, and Connection
Science. |
