China IT Research Centre (CiTRC)

中国信息化与社交媒体研究中心

About Us

China IT Research Centre (CiTRC) is a major research centre based in the Department of Information Systems of the National University of Singapore. The Centre focuses on the strategic issues of IT management and social media. The Centre aims to bring together expertise from a wide range of disciplines to understand China's rapid adoption of strategic IT systems and the impacts of social media on consumer behaviours. The China Research Center’s strong interdisciplinary focus and close ties to academic, international, policy-making, business, and local communities make it the main hub for researchers and practitioners interested in IT development in China.

CiTRC strives to advance cutting-edge scholarship through sponsoring seminars and conferences, through assisting in the publication of research results, and by welcoming postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and associates in research to the Center.

CiTRC is associated with Asian IT Case Series (aitcs.nus.edu.sg), a web-based publication of teaching cases centered around IT management and based on rigorous research conducted with real Asian firms and government agencies.

Visiting Scholars Program

We host visiting scholars from other universities or research institutes worldwide who have research projects related to the work of CiTRC faculty. CiTRC faculty must express strong interest in an applicant's work in order for him or her to be affiliated with the Center. Visiting scholars will receive access to university library collections and are expected to pursue independent research on campus.
