Ms Angela Wee is Director
and Principal Lecturer at Ngee Ann
Polytechnic’s School of InfoComm Technology.
She is the youngest person in the history of
Ngee Ann to hold these two positions, and
she had earned them within one year of
joining the polytechnic.
Before joining Ngee Ann
Polytechnic in 2003, Angela was Chief
Executive Officer and Chief Operating
Officer of EWGate Pte Ltd, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Kent Ridge Digital Labs (KRDL).
She was seconded by KRDL to start up and
manage EWGate. She joined KRDL in 1999,
leading its Machine Translation R&D team.
Her experience in the IT industry spanned
some 14 years, and she has held various
positions of responsibility with
organisations such as National Computer
Board (NCB).

Angela graduated from
National University of Singapore with a
Bachelor of Science (Honours, Comptuer &
Info Science) degree in 1989. Under company
sponsorship, she pursued and obtained a
Master of Science (Computer & Info Science)
degree by research from NUS in 1999.
