Mr Siow Wee Loong

Mr Siow Wee Loong is the Managing Director of Atos Origin ASEAN, with offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Atos Origin is an international information technology services company. Its business is in turning client vision into results through the application of consulting, systems integration and managed operations. The company’s annual revenues exceed EUR 5.5 billion and it employs over 50,000 people in 40 countries.

In addition to managing the overall business in Malaysia and providing strategic direction for Consulting in Asia Pacific, Wee Loong has continued to participate and lead in key consulting projects in the region.

Prior to joining Atos Origin in December 1999, he was Chief Information Officer (CIO) of
Hilton International in Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for IT strategy and operation for more than 30 hotels located in 13 countries. His leadership led to improvements to the business and smooth transition of all the hotels and their systems into the new millennium with no disruption to the business from the Y2K bug.

He was also a 10-year veteran at IBM, where he held both technical and senior consulting positions, specialising in Business Transformation and Strategy Development with a focus on customer values, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes through Business Process Reengineering and strategic use of IT.

He has led projects in the banking, finance, insurance, government, manufacturing and service sectors, and has undertaken consulting assignments in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan and the United States.

Wee Loong holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree from National
University of Singapore, and an MBA from Macquarie University (Australia).

He is on the Advisory Committee of the School of Information & Communications Technology of Republic Polytechnic in Singapore.
