Mr Tan Teng Cheong is
currently General Manager of Dell, Singapore
and Brunei, where he is responsible for
business development, sales, marketing,
professional services and overall management
of Dell's operations in both markets.
Teng Cheong has more than 18
years of experience in the IT industry. He
started his career as a consultant with
Andersen Consulting (currently Accenture).
The other companies that he worked with
include IBM/Lotus and Avanade – where he was
General Manager for Singapore. Over the
course of his career, he spent many years
working across Asia, including long stints
in Indonesia, Taiwan and China.
Prior to joining Dell, he
was Country Manager of Sybase Singapore –
the world’s largest global enterprise
software company exclusively focusing on
managing and mobilising information from
data centre to point of action.
Before joining Sybase, he
spent two years in Dalian (China) with
HiSoft Technology Inc, a China-based IT
outsourcing company. As HiSoft’s VP for
International Clients, he was responsible
for building the company’s US and
international software outsourcing business.
