Students in NUS
School of Computing (SoC) may now be privy
to trends and developments in Singapore’s
information security industry. They may also
have the chance to interact with experts in
the information security industry at various
talks and forums. These have been made
possible with a recent tie-up between SoC
and the Association of Information Security
Professionals (AISP) in Singapore.
Formed in February 2008 with the support of the
Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore
(IDA) and Singapore Computer Society, AISP is an
exclusive network of professionals who
collectively represent a vast base of knowledge
in the information security industry. Apart from
access to AISP events and resources, SoC’s
recent agreement with AISP also provides
students of the School with regular updates on
AISP through emails and online publications. All
these benefits come with student membership to
AISP, which is available to SoC students with no
additional costs.
