Michael Yin Xinyi and Jet Tan Zhen Qiang, both PhD students in
SoC, have made the news with their entrepreneurial efforts.
Their start-up, which graduated from the SoC Incubation Centre
in late 2005, currently employs some 20 staff in Singapore and
Shanghai.
Speaking to The Business Times, Michael attributed the success
of his company to supportive eco-system for entrepreneurship in
Singapore and the University.
“...it's
because we know that NUS has an incubation centre programme
that pushed us to it. There's an eco-system from the very
first day to, hopefully, the day we become an MNC.”
