Assistant Professor Liang Zhenkai and Associate Professor Abhik Roychoudhury won the Distinguished Paper Award for their paper “DARWIN: An approach for Debugging Evolving Programs” at the Joint meeting of ESEC and ACM SIGSOFT Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering (ESEC-FSE 2009), August 2009, Amsterdam, Netherlands. The paper opens an interesting direction in software debugging by analysing how two versions of a program differ on a test case. ESEC-FSE is a leading conference in software engineering research.
