Mr Roger Lim graduated in
1997 from the then Department of Information
Systems and Computer Science, Science
Faculty, National University of Singapore.
As a student, Roger was very intrigued by
the advent of Computing technology and
believed that he could bring a value-adding
service to society. Needless to say, he has
lived to fulfill his dream. Today, Roger is
the CEO and Co-founder of Webvisions Pte
Ltd. Roger has more than 10 years of practising
experience in the Information Security
arena. He holds several certifications,
including the Certified Information Systems
Security Personnel (CISSP) and Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
As CEO of Webvisions, Roger is a pioneer in
the Asia-Pacific web hosting industry, and
has grown his company from a startup of
three partners to over 100 employees in
2008. In the course of the eleven years
since the company's founding, Webvisions has
expanded its customer base from 50 in the
first year to over 20,000 by early 2008.
Webvisions expects to post revenues close to
$20 million this year.
Among his accomplishments are the execution
of successful first and second-round
funding, the rollout of one of Singapore's
first commercial Internet data centre
facilities and multi-country hosting
operations.

engineering and financial management.

As a friend of NUS School of
Computing (SoC), Roger’s attitude is
uncompromising. His steadfast belief
in community service and commitment
to the Alma Mater, speak volumes of
his ongoing support for the needs of
the School and the student body. He
has been contributing invaluable
services towards the sharing of
industry knowledge with the faculty,
students and alumni of SoC.
Earlier this year, Mr Roger Lim was
presented Singapore Computer
Society’s Young Professional of the
Year Award. |
