NUS School of Computing (SoC) has a fine track record in grooming leaders for the digital economy. Since its early days as the only university department in Singapore that produced computing talent for the workforce, the School has blazed a trail of distinguished alumni, including the chief executives and technology architects of multinationals and government agencies.
SoC provides a stimulating environment that amalgamates the best of educational traditions, drawing its faculty staff of 200 from leading universities ranging from the Ivy League to Oxbridge. The School has about 2,000 students, a quarter of them pursuing graduate studies.
Singaporeans learn side by side with international students in SoC, acquiring a strong grasp of technological fundamentals and knowledge in the specialisations of their choice. They are supported by a developed infrastructure, including well-equipped computer labs and a virtual environment running on high-power server banks.
