Student Life facilitates and administers the various funds that students can apply to for financial support:

Computing Alumni Assistance Award
Set up by Computing alumni, this Computing Alumni Assistance Award is to provide deserving students with limited financial resources an avenue of financial support. Students may apply to this Award to supplement project expenses which can include hardware and software, support self-contained educational programmes, and to encourage other industry-driven activities.

Computing Student Development Fund
Set up to allow more Computing students to gain international exposure and professional qualification, students may apply to the Computing Student Development Fund to subsidise overseas study trips, conferences, competitions, and professional certification courses such as those by SAP, IBM, or Oracle.

SoC Take on the World (SToW) Award
The SoC Take on the World Award (SToW) will fund activities where you are representing SoC or NUS in an international event. For this award, we expect you to have passed through some competitive preliminary selection by the activity organizer. For worthwhile activities, most of your cost will be covered (a small amount of self-funding is expected). SoC students have been competing successfully internationally. See for reports of such activities and for the SToW application form.
