Cannibal Masque

Cannibal Masque was written by Ronald Ribman. We are grateful to him for his generous support of our production.

The last play of Nautanki 2000, will be Ronald Ribman’s, Cannibal Masque. Set in post-war Germany, it unravels an engrossing plot involving a rich and coarse truck-driver, and a seemingly harmless diner at a restaurant.

The contrast between an extravagant appetite of the truck driver and a starving town develops into a chilling climax, with the suggestive title more than setting the ambiance of the play. Cannibal Masque is all about transformation of human character, about ambivalence, greed, hunger, power and games of the mind. A fitting end to the night, it will not disappoint any audience.
