Diary of a Madwoman

Diary of a Madwoman was first performed by TheatreWorks (S) Ltd on
October 2nd - October 19th 1997. The play was written by Chin Woon Ping and
directed by Lim Kay Siu. We are grateful to the author for her generous support of our production.

An intense play, it takes a trip down a woman’s paranoia of being trapped and used in a male-dominated world, and how she deals with her fear and abhorrence of civilization.
The second play of the evening, is Theatre Works’ playwright, Chin Woon Ping’s, Diary of a Madwoman. We decided to make a bold step in performing this rather deep and abstract play to contrast the light entertainment of Plaza Suite, by challenging our audience to think, interpret and feel.Click here for a larger image
Loaded with symbolism and equipped with powerful rhetoric, Diary of a Madwoman, is going to be the heart of the evening’s performance.
