NTU and NUS scholars combined, we just can't wait to blow your mind!
Nautanki, in Hindi, simply means drama. And that is exactly what we have in store for the audience… good, entertaining, engrossing drama.  Drama that rises above the minions of detached canned entertainment one gets so often these days. It is this emphasis on quality, that has earned this drama group of SIA/NOL Indian scholars from NUS and NTU, the adulation of audiences. Our maiden public production, Nautanki ’99, was held in Drama Center on February 6th and 7th, 1999. A Night of Emotional Economics, was the theme which strung together three award winning English plays, written by an acclaimed Indian teacher-playwright, and which put the ongoing Asian economic crisis into a colorful perspective.

We hope to see you at Jubilee Hall on 5th February!
Nautanki 2000, promises once again, to provoke the audience with its central theme of Eccentricity. Eccentricity, though often associated with madness, refers here to irregularity or something that is different from the expected norm.  We have chosen three English plays for illuminating the various aberrations of human nature. There is laughter, there is sorrow, there is mystery and there is philosophy. A complete spectrum of emotions, it will be a rib-tickling, mind-swirling evening of  light and deep shades of  human drama, guaranteed to satisfy both the grave and the garrulous. The plays will be held at Jubilee Hall on 5th February, 2000, starting at 6.45pm. With your support, Nautanki 2000, a pot pourri of eccentricity, would indeed be a Millenium Production.
