Synopsis The Mirror has Two Hands asks the delicate question whether conventional talent is good enough to be successful in today’s world. The protagonist of the play, Jack, is a talented guitarist who performs every night at a bar because he never makes it through an audition. His regular meetings with rejections convince him that conventional talent is not good enough - he starts believing that you need extras such as being popular, or even unpopular, to get the world to notice you. The bitterness in Jack’s heart grows as realizes that his music, his most prized possession, is dying on his shelf. A desperate Jack decides to go all out to get the world to notice him. He is joined on his quest for success by his morally upright girl friend, Jaime, who does not agree with the means that he wants to adopt. |
