Abhijit Sircar is a widely respected computer teacher in Calcutta. A physics graduate, Mr. Sircar switched to computers to meet the computing needs of St. James' School, Calcutta. His brilliance has been manifest in the superb plots he has conjured to win St. James' the Best Production award at the British Council Original One Act Play Competitions, year after year. He has won Best Playwright Award on quite a few occasions, one of them being the grand prize of a trip to Europe! Mr. Sircar has theater in his veins. He is the son of internationally acclaimed, Badal Sircar, who is an icon of Indian theater. Badal Sircar is widely known in Calcutta for his refreshing brand of Street Theater, and his works have been translated into several languages.
