  Concordia University 1 English. French accepted for term papers and exams. (1) Ltd access to courses in business (finance and accounting), communications studies, journalism; cinema, digital design, animation ( in Fine Arts) and electrical, mechanical, software/computer engineering (in Engineering & Computer Science). Most courses in Fine Arts run for the academic year (September - May). (2) Faculties/departments to let the IRO/ Centre for International Academic Cooperation know which modules their students will read so that both offices can work on acceptance on a "discipline by discipline" basis.   University of Calgary 1 English 1) LAW: Calgary's Law faculty will only accept full-time Law students who have completed at least 1 full year of Law courses (preferably more) with a B average grade. They must also study law full-time hile in Calgary - they cannot just take 1 or 2 Law courses and take the rest of their courses from other faculties. 2) FoE: Exchange students have had some difficulties getting Engineering courses so they must be prepared to take some electives while at Calgary. However, Biomedical Engineering courses are relatively accessible. 3) FoS: Math classes widely available. 4) BIZ: Business courses at Calgary are only reserved for business-specific exchanges (NUS's agreement with Calgary is u-wide) Fall Term: Beg Sep to Late Dec

  University of Ottawa 1 Language of instruction is in English and French. All courses offered at the University of Ottawa are given in English and French. Candidates must submit a proficiency test in the language that he or she wished to take courses in if that language is not their mother tongue. Candidates who wish to take courses in French and whose mother tongue or langauge of institution is not French, must present a language proficiency test in French. The Test of French as a Second Language is offered through the University of Ottawa. Please inquire with staff of the International Exchange Program Sector. Students from NUS can take part in an exchange for one semester, 4 months (September to December or January to April) or for two semesters, 8 months, that is a regular academic year (September to April). The participation period indicated on the application form upon receipt of the applications cannot be modified after the arrival of students to the University of Ottawa. Exchange students can register in French as a Second Language (FSL) courses at no extra costs. Students must clearly indicate on their application form their desire to take one FSL course. The choice of French as a Second Language course is determined by a placement test found online at http://www.secondlanguage.uottawa.ca/non_admitted_langsec.html. The result of the placement test will then indicate to you a list of courses corresponding to your level. Faculties not open to exchange students: School of Management, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Medicine. Courses not open to exchange students: Interpretation courses (School of Translation and Interpretation), Department of English at the Master's level and courses offered by the Engineering Management Program. The University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) is compulsory for all international exchange students. Files from prospective candidates must be sent by the international offices of partner institutions to the attention of the manager. We ask candidates not to send their files themselves.
