Problem Solving Assignment

Presentation Schedule

Two options:

Option 1: Segmentation of stomach in 3D CT volume image.

Option 2: Registration of 3D spine model to the spine in x-ray image.
               >>> more images
 

Each student is allocated a 20-min time slot, 15 min for presentation and 5 min for Q&A.
Give a 15-min presentation that includes the following:
       Analysis of the characteristics of the problem.
       Description of your algorithm for solving the problem.
          Explain how and why your algorithm solves the problem.

There is no need to implement the algorithm.
    But, you should use sample results to explain how and why your algorithm works.
    These sample results can come from existing papers or program fragments.

Submit a soft copy of your presentation slides during the presentation. The presentation
    slides will serve as your assignment report.

Grading Criteria
How well you analyze the characteristics of the problem.
How well you explain how and why your algorithm solves the problem.

Good examples
Clear, convincing explanation of algorithm.
Clear, detailed analysis of problem.
