A basic sambal to go with fried squid, eggs, nasi lemak, lontong etc..
1 portion rempah titek, about 4 tbsp or more.
1 tbsp assam pulp
1/4 cup hot water
3 tbsp water
Sugar to taste
2 tbsp Oil
1. Dissolve assam pulp in hot water to make assam water. Set aside.
2. Add oil to pan. Saute rempah titek until fragrant, for about 5 minutes.
3. Remove pulp and skin from assam water.
4. Add assam water and 3 tbsp water to rempah titek.
5. Sweeten with sugar to taste.
