I learned my lesson the hard way; may be you don't have to, if you think twice before buying these...
While the camera itself is good, it comes with a cruddy piece of software called Pixela Image Mixer SE 3 that will suck the joy out of making home videos (and that is putting it lightly!). It's maddeningly slow, get's stuck frequently, does not work at all if the video files are big, and does not allow you to create DVDs from the video files in your PC (yes, you have to keep the camera connected to PC and on mains power for hours and hours just to create one DVD). I'm not just annoyed about this software, I'm mad beyond description. And I'm totally ticked off with Canon for unloading this piece of crappy software on unsuspecting buyers. I've bought at least a dozen canon cameras for my own use and as gifts, but after this HF100 experience, never again will I buy anything from Canon!
HTC Touch Pro is a disaster in usability (also in terms of hardware interface, but mostly in terms of the software interface). Just see how many hoops you have to jump through before you can send a simple SMS. Whoever designed its user interactions deserved to be shot! While the market price for this phone is over S$1000, I would not put the real value of it beyond S$500. While you are at it, never buy another phone running Windows mobile again.
