Call for Tutorial Proposals
The goal of the DASFAA 2014 Tutorial is to offer conference attendees and local participants the state of the art on cutting edge technologies for advanced applications of database systems & Web technologies.
DASFAA 2014 invites tutorial proposals for 1.5 hour from active researchers and experienced tutors on the topics of potential interest covered by the main conference.
Instructions for Submissions:
Tutorial proposals should be submitted in PDF via email to https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/DTUTORIALS2014 by 1 December 2013 (23:59 Pacific Time).
Each tutorial proposal should include the following:
  • tutorial title;
  • motivation for the tutorial;
  • brief outline of the tutorial content;
  • some references;
  • ff the tutorial has been offered before, conference and place;
  • contact information of the presenters: names, affiliations, addresses, emails, telephone numbers, and fax numbers;
  • short biographies of the presenters.

Tutorial chairs will notify the acceptance decision of the proposals by 21 December 2013. After acceptance, a one-page tutorial summary will be published in the conference proceedings, and the tutorial slides will be made available on the conference website. Tutorials will be presented during the main DASFAA conference as parallel sessions.
The honorarium is 1000 US dollars for 1.5-hour tutorial (to be split among speakers) plus a waiver of one conference registration fee.
