Database Research

Database research is one of the earliest research area in the Department of Computer Science, back to more than 20 years ago. Currently the Database Research Group consists of 8 faculty members and covers most of the currently database research topics. The group studies techniques for modeling, storing, indexing, and processing of different types of databases, such as clinical, mobile, image, spatial, semi structured data, peer-to-peer, and cloud platform.

The group maintains close relationships with international database research communities. Members of the group have been actively involving in international database conferences and journals, such as conference steering committee members, conference organizing committee members, program committee members, journal editors, etc. Members published papers in all major international database conferences and journals.
