Dennis Puk

Dennis Puk is a systems engineer in the School of Computing, National University of Singapore. Prior to joining SoC, he was with INTI College Sarawak as an Instructor in Computer Studies. In addition, he was a part-time research assistant with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak's Faculty of Economics & Business involved in a comparative study involving statistical analysis of Sarawak' s exports in years 1990 & 1997. He performed his internship in HADCO Corporation Sdn Bhd in Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone, Kuching, Sarawak. He was also a course demonstrator for an Image Processing course during his university days.
Born and raised in Kuching (capital of Sarawak state in Malaysia), Dennis is a 3rd generation Sarawakian. He is from the Hakka dialect group (subdialect group: KaYin). He received his elementary, primary and secondary education at St Thomas' School in Kuching. Subsequently, he obtained his Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons.) (Computational Science with minor in Environmental Chemistry) from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 1999.
He completed his Masters in Computing in the School of Computing in Dec 2002.
He married Andelina Lim Yan Piing in 2003. The next generation of Puks starts here.
Dennis thinks he can understand English, Malay, Chinese (Mandarin and a variety of Chinese dialects), a smattering of Iban and native dialects of Sarawak. (If you are intrigued by Sarawak, here's a list of websites that should be of interest to you!)
A person of diverse interests and somewhat unpredictable nature, Dennis delights in reading, eating, cooking, ornamental fish, nature, history, geography, investments, experiencing different ethnic cultures, languages, travelling and living life. Viva!
