Tutorial 5 & 6

Software Presentation

For tutorials 5 and 6, you will need to organize yourselves into teams of 3-4 persons from the same tutorial class.  Each team will then choose a general-interest software and do a short presentation during tutorial session.  

Choices of software include:

MS Office: Excel, Powerpoint, Access, MS Front Page, Dream Weaver, Flash, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Reader, WS_FTP, WinZip, MSN Messenger

In your 15 minutes presentation, your team is expected to demonstrate the features of the software to a group of customers.

During the first 10 minutes, the team should briefly introduce the software, describe its key features and conduct a “live” demonstration of the software's functionalities. The emphasis should be on the demonstration. The last 5 minutes will be left for questions from the class. 

Each member of the team should take part in the presentation and must take the opportunity to demonstrate a certain degree of familiarity with the software. Try NOT to exceed 15 minutes allocated for your presentation.

Please liaise directly with your respective tutors on the allocation of software choices and the availability of the softwares. If possible, you can bring your own laptop with the necessary software installed for the presentation.
