Hi all!

 

This is your CS1101X discussion leader. As an introduction, my name is Johannes Ardiant Harlie, 3rd year student majoring in Computer Engineering. This is my first time being a Discussion Leader; actually I’m a bit nervous ha2. My hope is that you can enjoy this course and can make friends as well. Talking about the size of the class, so far only 9 students registered for this class. Ha2, a bit unpopular. Maybe it’s because the timing clashes with MA1505 SL1 lecture.

 

Okay, as a gentle reminder, our first discussion will take place on 27 August, 12 noon – 2 pm in COM1/B08 (which is Programming Lab 3). Things that you need to prepare before coming to this first discussion are:

1.       Revise the previous lectures (Lecture 1, 2, and 3)

2.       Try to install CourseMarker on your computer. If you have any difficulties, you can approach me in class

3.       Browse through your textbook until Chapter 3

4.       If you need any clarifications or unclear about certain concepts, prepare your questions and you can raise them in class

 

Things that we’re going to do in class:

1.       Short introduction from me and, of course, from all of you

2.       I’ll brief on some administrative matters

3.       Review of lecture 1, 2, and 3 (Chapter 1 to 3 in your textbook)

4.       Discussion on trial lab & preparation for the next lab.

5.       Any other business
