You have reached my academic home page. I'm an assistant professor with research interests that span digital libraries, natural language processing and information retrieval. Specific interests include: definitional QA, statistical MT, text summarization, verb analysis, optimizing access to scientific literature, web crawling, and combining search and browsing user interfaces under human-computer interaction. I graduated with my Ph.D. from Columbia University. Here's a link to my (always-outdated) short, 1 page C.V. Please feel free to contact me about any synergies between your research interests and mine. Thank you!

What am I doing (courtesy twitter):

Here is my schedule of public meetings. I try to leave Tuesday for my own research and take most meetings on Wednesday and Friday. I also attend WING events, you can see the calendar for those meetings separately.
