MMM'97 provides a forum to discuss the efficient
representation, processing, interaction, integration and
retrieval of multimedia information. The theme of the conference
is modeling. In particular, MMM'97 will concentrate on common
modeling frameworks for integrating the diverse fields of visual
and audio information. MMM'97 will be held on November 17-20,
1997, at the Department of Information Systems and Computer
Science, NUS (Please
note the slight changes in the date of the conference).
Distinguished invited speakers and
other selected speakers will present key topics at the leading
edge of multimedia modeling. Four tutorials will cover important
subject of interests. In addition, there will be an exhibition
comprising the latest developments in the market place.
Audience: The conference should be of
interests to researchers, software and application developers,
and information technologists.

The Grand Plaza Hotel has been appointed as the official hotel for our
MMM97 delegates at a special concession rate. The hotel is newly
established right at the heart of the civic and art district. For

at Grand Plaza and enjoy the discount rate, please complete the

conference registration form to the conference Secretariat.
Transportation
There will be twice daily free
coach transfers between the hotel and the conference site at the
National University of Singapore. The journey is about 20
minutes. Kindly check the schedule at the hotel and conference
venue lobbies. Transport from the airport to the hotel is the
responsibility of individual participants. Efficient taxi service
is available from the airport to the hotel.
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner will be held
on Tuesday, 18 November, at 7:00 pm at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa
Resort Hotel at Sentosa Island, Singapore. Transportation from
the conference site to Sentosa will be provided. The programme
includes a buffet dinner and a free and easy night at the resort
island. Guests of conference delegates are also invited to attend
the dinner at the cost of S$60-00 per person. Please indicate on
the registration form the number of additional tickets required.
