Mother Teresa

Larger image 1272x920 502KB 82s@56Kbps

I painted Mother Teresa on 11 Nov 1999 as a wedding gift for Sheldon Hee Tze Min and Linda.

Mother Teresa was among the greatest of humans who lived in my times. I feel it was very unfortunate that she passed away on the same week as Princess Diana. The coverage of Princess Diana's death dominated Singapore papers for a long time, much more than that of Mother Teresa. President Clinton of USA, said in his address on Sept 6, 1997, "Today the world mourns the loss of two remarkable women." Princess Diana, no doubt was a remarkable lady. But her comparison to Mother Teresa, owing to the timing of their deaths, I feel was unfortunate and unfair.
