About Me

Francis Ng Hoong Kee was born with the same name approximately milliseconds ago in Ipoh, the capital of Perak state of Malaysia. He pursued his Bachelor of Information Technology from University of Southern Queensland, Towoomba, Australia and graduated in March 1996. His second degree, Master of Information Technology (Comp Sc) was obtained from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi, Malaysia in July 1999. At present, he is a doctoral research scholar with the National University of Singapore. His research interests are data structures and algorithms, spatial query processing and optimisation, and computational biology. Currently he is fervently working on the reverse nearest neighbor problem and protein-protein interaction network. While not doing research, he indulges in his hobbies which include reading fictional thrillers and fantasy novels, going to parks, listening to music and sometimes singing too.
