Outside Wooksack's apartment on UCT Lower Campus, where the team leaders stay. UCT, behind which is a mountain, is divided into Upper, Middle and Lower Campuses.

IOI'97 Photo #3
Inside a shop at the Two Oceans Aquarium (where the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean meet) on Monday, 1 December. Spot the bottles which Junbin and Steven are holding? They are bottled fresh air!

IOI'97 Photo #4
A scene at the Team Leaders' room, past 2am. The team leaders are concentrating on translating the task statements into their local languages, racing against the clock...

IOI'97 Photo #5
...while this guy, Aaron, free from the translating task, takes a break outside (it is already about 7 or 8 o'clock in the morning). The background shows flags of the participating nations.

IOI'97 Photo #6
Tuesday's evening, inside Fuller hall, where "A Taste of South Africa" Theme Evening is being held.

IOI'97 Photo #7
Jameson Hall. Further up is the Devil's Peak. On the left and right of the carpark shown in the foreground are the Fuller Hall and Smuts Hall respectively, where the contestants stay.

IOI'97 Photo #8
Posing for a shot at the IOI'98 booth. Let's get ready for IOI'98 in Portugal!

IOI'97 Photo #9
Thursday. Anxiously waiting for judging to begin (a a long delay of more than three hours).

IOI'97 Photos #10-13
Top-left: Hong Ping: "Is that my heart beating?"
Top-right: Steven: "Please, please, do no time-out!"
Bottom-left: Junbin: "Yes, yes, it'd better works..."
Bottom-right: Can't tell what is on Li Jie's mind. The only guy who manages to take his eyes off from the screen to turn his head for the camera.

IOI'97 Photo #14
Up on a rock on the Table Mountain. Friday, 5 December.

IOI'97 Photo #15
At the Ostrich Farm on Saturday.

IOI'97 Photo #16
Hey, we have not taken a photo together yet.

IOI'97 Photo #17
At the closing ceremony.

IOI'97 Photo #18
This is again NOT a posed picture. Driving home the message that winning a medal is no sheer luck, but the result of a lot of hard work and sleepless nights.
