I am attached to
the CAWP project in the embedded systems group at school of
computing National University of Singapore. I am currently
working on the design of battery aware and temperature aware
embedded systems. In particular we are trying to investigate the
properties of programs that influence the battery consumption
and high temperatures. Trying to determine the battery
consumption and temperature when a program executes requires the
temporal power profile of a program (power consumed versus
time). We are trying to come up with methods to statically
determine the temporal power profile of a program. Right now we
are working on an analysis technique to determine the worst case
energy consumption of a program. Any suggestions or tips that
you have about the area are greatly welcome.
During my
under-graduation I worked on the design of register files for
SMT processors under Dr Ranjani Parthasarthy College of
Engineering Guindy. This project was done as part of the Intel
student research contest India. Some of our course projects in
under-graduation were published as papers/posters.
