CV:
Professor Edison Liu graduated from Stanford University and its medical school. From 1987-96, he was professor of medicine, biochemistry and epidemiology at the University of North Carolina, and Director of its Specialized Program of Research Excellence in Breast Cancer. From 1996-2001, Prof Liu was the Division Director of Clinical Sciences (Intramural program) at the US National Cancer Institute. In 2001, he as appointed the executive director for the Genome Institute of Singapore He has received the Rosenthal Award from the American Association of Cancer Research and the Brinker International Award from Susan Komen Foundation for his breast cancer research. He is currently the President of the Human Genome Organization (HUGO).
