Brief Biography

Sharmili Roy is currently a PhD student under supervision of Prof. Michael S. Brown in School of Computing, National University of Singapore. Sharmili Roy obtained her MSc(Engg) in Computer Networks from Centre for Electronics Design and Technology(CEDT) , Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in 2006 under the guidance of Prof. Joy Kuri . Sharmili Roy completed her B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2004 from ECE department of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Dwarka, New Delhi.

Before enrolling in NUS PhD program, she worked at India Design Centre of Freescale Semiconductor as an Analog Design Engineer from Sept 2006 to May 2008 and at Wireless Planning and Co-ordination Wing of Government of India as a Wireless Engineer from May 2008 to Dec 2009.

Her current research interests include Medical Informatics.
