Andrei has received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from
Iasi University, Romania and PhD in Natural Science (Computer Science)
from the Hamburg University, Germany. He got the following academic
awards: DAAD scholarship (1997), TEMPUS S_JEP 11168-96 scholarship
(1998) and World Bank Joint Japan Graduate Scholarship Program (1998-2000)
at Fachbereich Informatik, Hamburg Universitaet, Germany.

Cui Bin received the B.S. degree in Computer Science from Xi'an
Jiaotong, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the
National University of Singapore in 2004. Currently, he is a
Research Fellow of the Singapore-MIT Alliance. His major research
interests include index techniques, multi/high databases,
multimedia retrieval and database performance. He served on
program committees of several database conferences.

Hu’s research interests are in Peer-to-Peer system, modeling
and simulation, automation. She has worked on distributed resources
share and remote collaborative design environment. She has actively
published in refereed international journals and conferences. One
of her papers was nominated for the Best Paper Award in the Seventh
International Conference on Automation Technology (Automation 2003).

Lim's research interests include grid computing, grid security, sensor
networks, parallel and distributed computing, embedded systems, computer
architecture, and performance evaluation. He received the Best Paper
Award of the 2000 International Parallel and Distributed Processing
Symposium.

Gildardo received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico, his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. He got CONACyT scholarships for his M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies. He was research visitor of the Robotics Laboratory, Stanford University, USA from 1999 to 2001. After, he held a position as Professor and Director of CS Undergraduate Program in the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Guadalajara, Mexico. He is also a member of the SNI, National Research System in Mexico.
Expertise: Robot motion planning, artificial intelligence.

Seet is expected to obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in 2005. He is currently based in the Centre for Advanced Information Systems (CAIS), working as a postdoc with Prof. Hsu Wen-Jing of NTU. His present research focus is on adaptive location-aware systems for mobile ad hoc networks.

Wang received his B.Sc degree in Computer Science from Wuhan University,
China in 1992, and his M.Eng and Ph.D degrees in computer application
from the same University, in 1997 and 2001. Before joined SMA, he
was a lecturer in Wuhan University and had been a visiting research
associate in the Department of Computing, the Hong Kong Polytechnic
University for over one year. His current research interests include
mobile agent, grid computing, distributed fault-tolerant computing,
and mobile computing.

Jiang is a research assistant in the Singapore-MIT Alliance. He received his B.Sc degree from Natioanl University of Sigapore. His research interest is in Natural Language Processing in general, and specifically in Semantic Understanding of natural language.
Expertise: Semantic Role Labeling of natural language. Statistical natural language parsing.

Xie is a research assistant in the Singapore-MIT Alliance. He received his B.Eng. (1st class accelerated honours) degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and S.M. degree from the Singapore-MIT Alliance respectively. He has worked extensively in both the theory and practice in the area of parallel and distributed computing, which has resulted in publication in refereed journal and conferences. He has won several scholarships and awards, such as the Institute for Infocomm Research book prize from Singapore-MIT Alliance.
Recently, he was nominated as session chair on "Grid middleware and toolkit" in the Grid computing conference GCC2004.
Expertise: parallel and distributed computing, grid computing, simulation.
