Kian-Lee Tan is a Professor of Computer Science at
the School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS).
He received his Ph.D. in computer science in 1994 from NUS.
His current research interests include multimedia information retrieval,
query processing and optimization in multiprocessor and distributed systems,
database performance, and database security.
He has published numerous papers in
conferences such as SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE and EDBT,
and journals such as TODS, TKDE, and VLDBJ.
Kian-Lee is a member of ACM.
