Stars YOU GOTTA READ THIS!!! Stars

Let me pose you a $million-dollar$ question: Remember when did we graduate?

Aha, some day in the year nineteen eighty-eight. Satu-semilan-lapan-palan. (I'm pretty sure I've got the spelling wrong here). Yao-jiu-ba-ba.

Aaaargh!!!!!! [Shock!] Are you SURE??? Are we really THAT OLD???

(I thought I heard *screeeeeeaming*, some cranking noise, then followed by silence...)

Face Face Face Face Face Face Face Face Face

A couple of us got together for 2 lunches (yum yum) at some secret corners of the country last month – Yu Ling, Mong Li, Choon Ling, Sau Meng, Weng Fai, Arun, Clarence, Arthur, and myself – to indulge in the greatest conspiracy of this century: how to con our 200 dear friends to part with their hard-earned money to join us for the TEN-YEAR!!! REUNION DINNER.

In between bits and bytes over the lunch table (we haven't forgotten what we learned have we?), we quickly drew out a tentative plan. We have arranged to hold the dinner on the evening of the 29th of August 1998 (Saturday), venue to be confirmed later. The cost per head is estimated to be around $50-$60, and we will try our best to twist some arms to get sponsorship and lucky draw prizes for the night. Spouses are welcomed. As for children, ermmmm…., there seems to be some concerns over the kind of bad influence with the presence of children: bad influence on the children (who knows what kind of adult talks we are going to engage in after all the drinks), and bad influence on the adults (an experienced guy told us how he often spent the whole dinner tending his kids instead of his food... can we trust this guy?).

We need your fullest support and participation! To get things going, we have divided the class into groups of about 20 people each. Please refer to the attached sheet to see which group you belong to. The email addresses of the representatives are given so that you can convey any message to them by emails. I will be the one to consolidate all the inputs from the various representatives.

Besides the reunion dinner, we would also like to do an update on everybody. We plan to collect your email addresses, name cards and even your photographs, and if you like the idea, we can even design a web page for our class (so, please send us the URL of your personal web site)! So, even if you are not able to attend the dinner due to some reasons, we urge you to provide us with the information we need, and of course, your suggestions as to how to make the event more interesting are most welcome. We also need help in these and many yet to be identified areas:

  1. Organizers for the reunion dinner
  2. Sponsors for the dinner
  3. More representatives to help disseminate and collect information
  4. Informing us about new addresses of friends who have moved recently
  5. Designers for the web pages

Please send an email to your representative today to inform him or her if you are able to attend the reunion dinner, and other relevant information. If you do not have an email address, you may write to us using the self-addressed return envelope which is attached in this package or sent to you in an earlier mail-run, or you may send your message to this address :
