Satellite Image Processing

“Harmful Algal Blooms” (HABs) in the ocean or more commonly “Red Tides”, are toxic, killing the fish that feed on them and occasionally, human beings. This application developed using ALiCE performs the geo-rectification of satellite image and visualized the concentration of chlorophyll in the sea. The satellite data was collected by SeaWiFs, a spaceborne ocean colour and optical sensor mounted on the SeaStar satellite.
