Wee Hyong obtained his MSc, BSc (Hons) from School of Computing (SoC), National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002, 2000 respectively.

Currently, he is an Instructor in the Computer Science Department, NUS. At the same time, he is pursuing his PhD, where he works with Dr Stephane Bressan and Dr Lee Mong Li.

His research interests includes adaptive query processing and optimization issues in generic progressive join algorithms. He is also interested in query processing issues in P2P systems and high-dimensional data streams.

Visiting Graduate Student, Cornell University, focused on extending Predator to support a threaded symmetric hash join, and introduced interesting order into Predator's query optimizers. In addition, focused on new operators for Cougar V2.
