Life Is Waiting

It's not that romantic over here,
the leaves are falling all right, but they are large,
and making awkward flips instead of graceful swirls,
just to get crushed under some cars' busy wheels;

but if this is all I'm gonna get
then I might as well settle for watching it
(and as you see, cook up a random poem out of it).

'Cause my bus still hasn't come,
while two rounds of buses have passed;
and I'm starting to suspect if somewhere in the schedule
it says "no bus in operation on Fridays around noon"?

Oh well, nothing lasts forever,
and the conclusion was pretty ordinary
that I suppose there's no need to tell the end to this story.

As you may recognize, the title is taken from
the tagline of the movie "The Terminal" (2004).
