Wax Museum @ Fisherman's Wharf

A little disappointment here; some of the wax figures were not as good imitations of the originals as I expected. Also they were put inside a bordered area so we couldn't get very close.

Political Figures

The English Royalty. There was also Emperor Hirohito (if I remember correctly) on the right, but the position didn't fit nicely on the frame, so I left him out.

Kathy put me up to that pose. =P

And so I did it again for this one. (I hope I won't get sued for this.)

Dictators.
We thought the first one was too dark (taken with no flash) so Kathy took another one for me with flash on (or maybe I got that reversed?). On my computer I thought the first one actually looks better.

Religions

Siddharta Gautama meditating, as history went, and the king of snakes came to shield him from the weather in support of his practice. I ended up covering most of his body in the photo. =P

Taoism.

Confucius and his disciples.

The Last Supper in two parts. Sparked a brief discussion on The Da Vinci Code, heh. A copy of the painting was put up on the opposite wall, and we could see this wax version was not an exact reproduction, in terms of positioning, body posture and such.

Scientists

Of course I had to take one with him. But I think both of us were far from photogenic in this picture.

Art

I wonder how Shakespeare and Hemingway got lumped together with Mozart and Beethoven?

And with these beautiful girls too?

Here we have the legendary/deadly beauties. I only remember starting second from left: Marie Antoinette, Cleopatra, Lucretia Borgia; and the rightmost is Mata Hari.

Um, the lady actually looked nice in the museum, but somehow she turned weird in the picture. Sorry. =P

Celebrities

I've wanted to take picture with Catherine Zeta-Jones (leftmost) but she didn't quite look like her, did she? Right from her is Sharon Stone; then Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts who should be easily recognizable. Tom Hanks was hidden behind the piano at the right. Argh.

I quite like the graffiti, and Russell Crowe's ragged look.

I was after Robin Williams, and Jim Carrey happened to be there, so.

I almost forgot who that was at the left, but Yesie surprisingly recognized him as Ricky Martin right away. Rightmost in the front is Madonna, and I think the middle one was Britney Spears. Sorry folks, I wasn't very attentive to those I wasn't particularly interested in.

In the foreground were Beyonce and Eminem --> never knew how he looked like anyway. =D

They have this complete with Celine's "My Heart Will Go On" playing on.

The Wizard of Oz gang. Don't forget the little dog Toto in the basket.

The Chamber of Horror

If this were in Singapore or somewhere as near I would've skipped this section. =P But too wasteful. So I went to find Kathy and we both waited for Ramkumar to enter together. =D

We start from a not-so-scary one.

They said photography was encouraged throughout the museum, but maybe there was a catch. (Pun sort of intended.)

Must keep proof of my attempted bravery here. The black cloth was rippling with howling wind sound too, so I kept some distance just in case.

Took this for Ramkumar. Just realized when I looked at it on the computer, that Count Dracula was looking straight at me as I snapped the picture. 0_0
