Project Selection Process

The project selection process starts off with a call for proposals in October every year. Interested VWOs are invited to submit a proposal on an IT system by 15th November 2010. We will shortlist a number of these proposals for preliminary site visits.

The proposal form can be downloaded here. Please fill in the details and send it to cvwoexco@googlegroups.com

Preliminary site visits are made during December to January.

The final decision is made during end-January. In general, the selection criteria are:
(i) scope of the project (shouldn't be too big or too small);
(ii) VWO's expressed interest and commitment to the partnership;
(iii) potential in improving the VWO's business processes to provide better services to its customers.

Once the partnering VWO is identified, we will then do a detailed requirement study and a preliminary design for the system in March.

Project development is done during the summer vacation from May to July. With the beginning of the summer vacation, deeper requirement study efforts are being put into motion by talented student developers. Full-time development will closely follow and we always aim for deployment in August. We are confident in our ability to deliver as well as we had done in previous years, and are determined to continue producing systems of the highest standards of quality, for the greater benefit of society.
