1.Research Assistant

A full-time Research Assistant (Bioinformatics) position is available.

The focus of the lab is on understanding human transcriptomes and transcriptome regulation, particularly in the context of gastric cancer, leukemia and breast cancer.

We are seeking highly motivated Honours' degree holders with intention to pursue Ph.D. Candidates with backgrounds in Computational Biology or other related fields such as Biostatistics and Computer Science who are interested in doing research into epigenomics are invited to apply. Candidates should be comfortable in working independently and with other team members and be willing to work in flexible schedules to manage workload on weekend or before/after normal working hours. The successful candidate will help to perform bioinformatics analyses and assist with maintenance of the lab’s data infrastructure. Previous experience with programming (Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, R, or other related programming knowledge) is necessary, as well as the ability to work on Linux environment. The ability to present data clearly through written and verbal communication is essential. Any experience in managing big data in biology, particularly computational genomics (e.g. next-generation sequencing analysis), and biostatistics will be a plus. Any experience in managing servers will also be a plus.

2. Research Fellow

A full-time Post-Doctoral Fellowship (Bioinformatics) position is available.
