Wu Xiuchao
Ph.D. Candidate

Communication and Internet Research Lab
School of Computing, National University of Singapore

I'm a 5th year Ph.D. student working in transport protocols, especially congestion control, of various kinds of networks, such as wireless network, wireless sensor network, and high speed network, etc.

My advisors are Dr. A.L. Ananda and Dr. Mun Choon Chan.

I'll graduate soon and I'm now looking for an engineer, research, teaching, or consultant position in network area (performance, security, and application, etc.). Below is my brief biography and my job application materials can be found here (Accurate as of Dec 2009).

Education

1994---1999, I received my B.E. degree from CSTD, USTC.

2003---2004, I received my M.Sc. degree from SOC, NUS

2005---2009, Ph.D. Candidate of SOC, NUS

Work Experience

2009-08---2009-12, worked in  Mikoishi, Singapore
  • In Mikoishi, I implemented a transport library for DarkGround, a massively multi-player online game.

2005---2007, worked in  CIR lab of SOC, NUS as a Research Assistant
  • In CIR, I pursued some research on transport layer protocols under Reactive TCP project.

2001---2003, worked in Anyware, a software company focused on information security.
  • In Anyware, I participated in the development of several products based on PKI, SSL, and SMIME with java. I also implemented one client management system with Domino/Notes.

1999---2001, worked in Great Dragon Technology Inc., a communication company in China.
  •  In GDT, I participated in the development of RNC of W-CDMA. I implemented the RLC and PDCP layers of its wireless communication protocol stack with C under Lynx.
